Approximately 90% of the world’s diamonds are polished in India. The client was a billion dollar organisation - one of the larger site holders and manufacturers for polished diamonds. They were running on an antiquated .NET system that was developed in piecemeal basis. The client required an end-to-end integrated system with centralised data and high availability. After three months of studying the business processes, the existing software and the new requirements, Embarcadero Delphi using Datasnap technology was the obvious choice to meet the requirement of fast and stable development. Over the next twenty four months, the customised Delphi ERP replaced all software in operational processes with a centralised highly available system for its users.
